Study of Bone Mineral Density (BMD) in 1335 patients with non inflammatory diseases.

Abstract: In order to study a possible relation between mechanical bone pains and the BMD, 1335 patients were analyzed as every consecutive patient. The BMD was measured in a cohort study on 5927 patients referred for various reasons to the Rheumatology Research Center, Osteoporosis Unit. Natrium Fluoride for the Treatment of Osteoporosis in Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients.

Abstract: In Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) osteoporosis is secondary. Its cause and its treatment are still controversial. All agents used in post menopausal osteoporosis have been tried for RA osteoporosis. Our work is a prospective open study to demonstrate the efficacy of low dose NF (20 mg daily) in these patients.
