Methods: Inclusion criteria were retinal vasculitis and edema, resistant to cytotoxic drugs. Twenty patients were randomized to a rituximab group (RG) or cytotoxic combination therapy group (CCTG). Rituximab was given in two 1000-mg courses (15-day interval). Subjects received methotrexate (15 mg/weekly) with prednisolone (0.5 mg/kg per day). The ... سال انتشار: 2010

CD5-POSITIVE B CELLS In Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients.

Authers: N. Naderi, Sh. Rafiei Tehrani, M. Akbarian

Abstract: The concept that rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease is supported by variety of autoantibodies in patient's serum. The most important of these are rheumatoid factors (RFs), antibodies that react with the patient's own Ig. It has been suggested that IgM-RF plays a role in disease pathogenesis. The main source of IgM-RF are B cells that express the pan T-cell marker, CDS: We conducted this study to test the ... سال انتشار: 1995
